BookFunnel for Android 10 (and older)

Saving EPUBs to Downloads

The BookFunnel App for Android can download EPUB files and send them to other apps or save them to your Downloads folder.

Troubleshooting Tips

Your device might have a “default” app selected that is grabbing the EPUB file. You can disable this or select a different default application in the Settings on your Android device.

Or, you can open your Downloads storage folder and tap and hold the file. Then you should be able to select your preferred app.

If you have trouble, you can always read the book in the BookFunnel app. Just tap the book cover in the Library or select Start reading now to get started.

Open your Downloads folder and tap and hold the EPUB. This action should list any apps installed on your device that “offer” to open an EPUB file.

If your preferred app isn’t displayed, it may not support opening or importing EPUB ebooks from other apps.

You can try opening your preferred app and checking to see if it will let you import the EPUB from inside its menu or settings.

Most Android devices come pre-installed with a “file explorer” that allows you to view your local storage, but some do not. If your device does not have a native file app installed, you can install one from the Google Play Store.

If you are having trouble opening the EPUB, you can always read it right in the BookFunnel app. Just tap the book cover in the Library or tap Start reading now to get started.
