BookFunnel for Android

Saving MOBI Files to the Kindle App

The BookFunnel App for Android can download MOBI files and save them in your Kindle app folder for the Kindle app to find and add to your library.

Troubleshooting Tips

Did you allow the Kindle app to access local storage? It’s an easy check:

  1. Open your Kindle app and then tap the Menu button (looks like three horizontal lines)
  2. Tap Settings
  3. Check the box that says Data Storage Access

Don’t see Data Storage Access?

  1. Open your Kindle app and tap More at the bottom of the app
  2. Tap App Settings in your Kindle app
  3. Turn on Show Personal Documents in Library

The book might show up immediately, but, if not, you can force quit the Kindle app (just reboot if you aren’t sure how to do that). The book will be saved in your DOWNLOADED Books Library.

Did you make sure you are viewing your DOWNLOADED library? Open the Kindle app and tap Library at the bottom. Tap DOWNLOADED at the top of the screen. Tap the filter button to make sure you are viewing your Books library.

If you are viewing your Books Library and the book isn’t showing up, you can either use Send To Kindle (WATCH THE VIDEO) or you can read the book right inside the BookFunnel app. Just tap the book cover in the Library or select¬†Start reading now¬†to get started.

The Save to Kindle App function will save the MOBI in your local Kindle app folder only. It will not sync to other Kindle apps or devices.

To sync with other Kindle(s), you can use Send To Kindle (WATCH THE VIDEO!).
