Saving MOBIs to Downloads
The BookFunnel App for FireOS can save Kindle MOBI files to your local storage and save them in your Download folder.
Troubleshooting Tips
This MOBI has been saved to your Download folder and will not appear in your Kindle Books Library.
To locate the MOBI in your Download folder:
- Locate the Docs app. If you don’t see Docs on your home screen with the rest of your apps, swipe up on your Kindle screen to pull up all of your installed apps.
- Tap Docs.
- At the top of the screen, you should see three options: Send-to-Kindle, Cloud Drive, and Local Storage.
- Tap Local Storage. If you don’t see a list of folders, tap the arrow in the top-left corner of the screen until you see the folders inside Local Storage.
- Tap the Download folder to locate the MOBI.
If you locate the file, but your Kindle won’t open it, check for more troubleshooting tips below.
BookFunnel does not use DRM, so we aren’t sure why the Kindle thinks the file has DRM.
If you see this error on your Kindle, it means that your Kindle will not let you open the file.
You can either email the book to Send to Kindle (WATCH THE VIDEO) or read the book right inside the BookFunnel app. Just back up and tap the book cover to start reading.

The BookFunnel app saved the file in the Download folder when you tapped Save MOBI to Download.
The Kindle Books Library is reserved for books you have purchased from the Kindle store.
If you are unable to open and read the book, you can either email the book to Send to Kindle (WATCH THE VIDEO) or read the book right inside the BookFunnel app. Just back up and tap the book cover to start reading.
