BookFunnel for iOS

Sharing with Kindle

The Kindle app on your iPhone and iPad can send upload books to your Kindle account and sync to all of your Kindle devices.

Troubleshooting Send To Kindle

Use the the Kindle app on your iPhone or iPad to add new books to your Kindle library. Books uploaded to Send to Kindle will sync to all of your Kindle apps and devices.

Make sure you have the Kindle app installed on your mobile device and it is logged into your Amazon Kindle account. If your Kindle app is already logged in, locate the Kindle app:

  1. Swipe the row of sharing icons all the way until you see More… on the right.
  2. Tap More….
  3. Scroll through the available apps until you see Kindle.
  4. Tap Kindle.
  5. On older versions of iOS, toggle Send to Kindle ON and tap Done to save.

If you see the SUCCESS message, Amazon should add the book to your Kindle cloud within ten minutes. Be sure to pull down from the top-center of your Kindle app’s home screen to refresh the app and pull your newest books. It is rare, but Send to Kindle can sometimes take a few hours to deliver books.

If Amazon is running behind, you can always read the book right in the BookFunnel app! Just back up and tap the book cover to start reading.

Did you share the Kindle file, or did you tap the Other/EPUB file type by mistake?

  1. Back up to your library and tap and hold the book cover again.
  2. Select Send to Another App.
  3. Tap Kindle.
  4. Tap Open Share Window and select Kindle (or Send To Kindle).

If you still see “Incompatible document type”, there may be something that the Kindle app doesn’t like in the MOBI’s metadata.

You can either email the book to Send to Kindle (WATCH THE VIDEO) or read the book right inside the BookFunnel app. Just back up and tap the book cover to start reading.
